Andrew Leitch - Project Manager, Origination
Andrew joined Offsetters in November 2009 as an Assistant Project Manager in the Project Sourcing Department. Andrew Leitch was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. Prior to joining Offsetters, Andrew worked at the Ministry of Agriculture where his primary duties were to assess the carbon offset potential for various types of emission abatement projects, provide strategic recommendations and develop BC-specific carbon offset protocols for agriculture projects. Project types that he has assessed include anaerobic digestion, biofuels, fuel-switching and aboveground biomass/soil carbon sequestration projects. In addition, he performed financial analyses on capital budgeting decisions for renewable energy projects such as biomass boilers and anaerobic digestion. He has also authored educational materials for both government and industry participants on agriculture projects capable of generating valid carbon offsets in BC.
Andrew recently completed his MBA from the University of Victoria in 2008. As part of his MBA, Andrew studied abroad at Copenhagen Business School where he was able to achieve a minor in Business Sustainability.
